No. ANIMUS runs on your machine or server. Your chats, config, and token logs live in your local chat data directory. Outbound calls are the providers and update URL you configure.

Yes. The buyer bundle includes the ANIMUS chat app and a full Hermes Agent checkout so gateway, skills, cron, provider, and Cursor-related behavior stay aligned.

Linux and macOS are the native install targets. Docker compose is included for containerized runs and Windows-oriented setups.

Yes. The wizard and docs support Tailscale-friendly access, secure-context redirects, PWA install, wake lock while generating, and notification behavior for mobile use.

ANIMUS can check a manifest at ANIMUS_UPDATE_URL. When a newer version exists, the app downloads the release zip and applies it without requiring the buyer to pull from git.
